01.09.12 - 13.10.12
In Pano de Fundo [Backdrop] Ramo once again puts us into an unusual place. Mobile panels, normally used for setting up the exhibition space at the Galpão, are balanced delicately, one atop the other, forming a large sculpture. The apparently neutral material takes on a life of its own, reorganizing itself as though it were about to fall. The public is invited to walk among the stacked panels.

Bringing together a selection of artists who contributed to SOUNDWORKS, this Artists’ Film Club takes the relationship between sound and moving image as a starting-point to consider sound as a performative gesture in the delivery of narrative and historical discourse. Exploring the rhetoric of speech and spoken word, the works included in Sound and Vision take leave from conventional techniques, employing alternative visual and aural strategies to explore social and political histories, and new and invented narratives.

Dimecres 11.07.12 - Sala Vinçon (Barcelona).
Pèl i Ploma, Objectes Errats
David Bestué (Barcelona, 1980) and Marc Monzó (Barcelona, 1973), artist and jeweler respectively, show the result of a shared fascination for the world of the object. After months of thinking on their respective trades the two creators decided to go into an unknown world for both: the intrusion in fields such as ceramics, wood, iron, alabaster and glass. From this approach produce a dialogue about their abilities and disabilities around the material and the limits of his own imagination.
