The Yaois [Francesc Ruiz]

Through different groups of images, Francesc Ruiz applies the logic of yaoi (homoerotic parodies produced and consumed by women) to subvert different cultural constructions, from well-known charac-ters of the comic world (Donald), art (Lichtenstein) or music (The Smiths) to areas such as sport, politics and religion, building a complex grid of possible relationships.


At the same time and exposed until 04.02.12 Fundació Suñol presents Ruiz's works made during his residence in the Contemporary Image Collective in Cairo in October 2010.
